I'm really in the mood to make a blog post right now, so here I go!
I really miss my girlfriend. I'm so used to spending so much time with her that all of this time receiving only a text or two per hour feels like I'm growing apart from her! I know she misses me too, so that should make our reuniting that much better. I can't wait, and I'm sure it'll be filled with hugs and kisses galore! I don't want to start sounding like a sap, but I really do enjoy all of the time I spend with her. Sometimes we just sit there and don't talk, but being able to turn around every once in a while to see her can make whatever I'm doing at that time that much better.
I planned to watch a lot of movies over Spring Break and so far I've hardly watched any. I think it's just because I'm so used to watching them with Rachel. I've tried watching The Big Sleep, but I just decided to stop, because I felt unfocused, and some of the reviews I read before watching it said that focus was key in a movie like this, because there are many characters, and it's all part of a huge plot-line with subtle twists that can leave you in the dust in the end if you've lost that focus. Maybe I'll try again later. I also tried watching Big with my mom last night, but thanks to the wonderful work of Frontier, our Internet connection died about half an hour into the movie. This is just not a good week for movies and me, I guess.
However this has been a good week for video games so far! I've been playing lots, and it's really nice to be able to do that! I played Oblivion for a few hours the other night, and quit after it froze on me, and I lost all of my progress. However, I didn't give up, and yesterday I redid everything I had lost, making sure to save it once every ten minutes or so. I also played Witch Hunt, which is an expansion for Dragon Age: Origins. It was kind of fun, since I hadn't played that for a while, but the expansion was short, and ended very abruptly. So, I just accepted my achievement points, and moved on to playing some NBA 2K11. I really enjoy playing the 'My Player' mode, and I had to start a new character recently because, much like Oblivion, my save file was corrupted. It was probably a good thing I did so though. I changed my position and I'm now a center, and because I got used to it very quickly, I was able to get an A+ grade in my last draft combine game, allowing me to unlock the achievement for being drafted in the first round.
Today I went to the casino with Zach, and broke even. I was kind of bummed about this. I don't know what I was expecting. Just a nice boost of luck would be nice. I really want one of the new Nintendo 3DS systems! However, like I said, I broke even. Otherwise, my day has been very uneventful.
It's nice being able to see all of my friends, and get time to play as many video games as I want, but as I stated earlier, I really miss Rachel. I guess I've just grown accustomed to spending all of my time with her, and I don't really know what to do without her. It'd be really nice if she were here, or if I were at her house. I really do love spending time with her family!
I think I'm going to continue playing Oblivion now. I want to make sure I beat it to a great percentage before Skyrim comes out this November! Thanks for reading everyone, and have a great night! Feel free to continue to help out my group on Free Rice some more! Thanks as well to Keith Graham for helping me get the group an additional 8000 grains last night! If you need the link again, --> here it is! <--
Goodnight!
